Welcome to Life Retreat Yoga & Pilates Studio — a serene sanctuary for movement, mindfulness, and holistic wellness, hosted at the beautiful Art Curator Gallery on Lourensford Estate, Somerset West, Western Cape. Surrounded by art, nature, and mountain views, this is your perfect escape to unwind, recharge, and strengthen body and mind.

Just 30 minutes from Cape Town and perfectly located for Helderberg residents, we are open seven days a week with multiple classes daily to suit every schedule and fitness level.

Not ready for a full membership? Try one of our drop-in yoga classes at Lourensford or join us for an outdoor yoga session to experience the Life Retreat difference first.

We recommend our eco-friendly Cork Yoga Mat, the Alignment Yoga Mat for precision and posture, or our portable Yoga Mat with Strap for easy travel to and from the studio. Parking Access

Once registered, please email your vehicle registration number to studio@liferetreat.co.za for parking access. For R395 per annum, enjoy unlimited entry to Lourensford Estate, seven days a week.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need experience to join?
Not at all. Every class at Life Retreat is designed to be accessible to all levels — from complete beginners to seasoned practitioners. Our teachers offer modifications so you always work at your own pace.

What should I bring to class?
Wear comfortable, stretchy clothing. Bring a yoga mat (or hire one at the studio), a small towel, and a water bottle. We recommend arriving 5–10 minutes early, especially for your first class.

How do I book a class once I have a membership?
Once your membership is purchased, you'll receive booking instructions via email. You can view and book all classes via our online class schedule.

Can I attend both yoga and Pilates classes on the same membership?
Yes — your membership gives you unlimited access to all yoga and Pilates classes across the full weekly schedule, seven days a week.

Are online classes included?
Yes. Every membership includes access to our online classes, so you can practise from home or while travelling.

Do I earn Discovery Vitality Points?
Yes! You earn 100 Discovery Vitality Points for every class you attend in person.

Where exactly are classes held?
Classes are held at the Art Curator Gallery, Lourensford Estate, Somerset West — a stunning art-filled space surrounded by gardens and mountain views. Some classes are held outdoors on the estate grounds, weather permitting.

Is there parking available?
Yes. Annual parking access at Lourensford Estate is available for R395. Once registered, email your vehicle registration number to studio@liferetreat.co.za.

Can I gift a membership to someone?
Absolutely — a Life Retreat Studio Membership makes a truly meaningful gift. Simply purchase online and forward the confirmation to your recipient.

Refund Policy

• All memberships are non-refundable once purchased.
• In exceptional circumstances, and solely at Life Retreat's discretion, a refund may be considered. Where approved, a 30% handling and administration fee will be deducted.
• Life Retreat is not responsible for unused memberships, missed classes, or services not utilised during the membership period.
• Life Retreat reserves the right to offer an alternative to a refund, including a membership pause, transfer to another person, or store credit.
• By completing a purchase, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Refund Policy.
