What are infusion bags used for?

Infusion bags are empty, fillable bags with a drawstring closure. They can be used for loose-leaf teas, dried herbs, spices, coffee grounds, bath salts, herbal bath rituals, foot soaks, and facial steams. Any ingredient you want to steep or infuse without mess or residue.

What is the difference between filter paper, corn fibre, and silk nylon bags?

• Unbleached Filter Paper — natural, breathable, and compostable. Ideal for single-use tea, coffee, and spice infusions. The most eco-conscious choice. Not reusable.
• Corn Fibre (PLA) — plant-based and biodegradable with a smooth texture and steady water flow. A sustainable option for beverages and botanicals. Not reusable.
• Silk Nylon — fine, transparent mesh with a luxurious finish. Reusable, durable, and perfect for showcasing premium loose-leaf teas. Rinse after each use.

Which bag is best for herbal tea?

All three work well for herbal tea. If you want a single-use, compostable option, choose filter paper or corn fibre. If you want a reusable bag you can rinse and refill, silk nylon is the best choice.

Can infusion bags be reused?

Silk nylon bags are fully reusable — simply rinse after each use and allow to dry. Filter paper and corn fibre bags are designed for single use and should be composted after use.

Are your infusion bags food-safe?

Yes. All our infusion bags are food-safe and free from bleach, toxins, synthetic sealants, and microplastics. The filter paper and corn fibre bags are unbleached and compostable. The silk nylon bags are made from food-grade nylon mesh.

Can I use infusion bags for bath rituals?

Absolutely. Fill a bag with Epsom salts, dried lavender, rose petals, oat powder, or any botanical blend and hang it under the running tap as your bath fills. The water flows through the bag, releasing the therapeutic properties of the ingredients into your bath.

How much do I fill each bag?

For a single cup of tea, use approximately 2–3g of loose-leaf tea or herbs per bag. For spice blends or bath rituals, fill to about two-thirds capacity to allow the ingredients room to expand when wet.

Do the bags work in boiling water?

Yes. All three materials are heat-resistant and safe for use in boiling water. They will not break down or release harmful substances when steeped.

How many bags do I need?

It depends on your use:

• Home use — a pack of 100 is ideal for most households and will last several months.
• Wellness studio or small business — packs of 1 000 offer better value and ensure you never run out.

How do I store unused infusion bags?

Store unused bags in a cool, dry place away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep them in their original packaging or a sealed container to maintain their quality.

Are your bags environmentally friendly?

Yes. Filter paper bags are compostable and biodegradable. Corn fibre bags are made from plant-based PLA and are also biodegradable. Silk nylon bags are reusable, which reduces waste significantly over time. None of our bags contains microplastics or synthetic sealants.

Can I use infusion bags for coffee?

Yes — filter paper bags work well for ground coffee. Fill with your preferred grind, seal the drawstring, and steep in hot water for 3–5 minutes depending on your preferred strength.
